ADMISSION INFORMATION AND APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
Edinboro University follows a rolling admissions policy which means decisions are reached on complete applications soon after all necessary materials are received by the University. Students will usually be informed of the admissions decision approximately one month after the Admissions Office receives the complete application and accompanying materials.The following steps are essential for completion of an application for admission to Edinboro University.
- APPLICATION -- Please complete each item thoroughly. You may use the TAB key to move from one field to another.
PLEASE REMEMBER: Your application will not be processed until the University receives an official high school transcript, transcripts $25 non-refundable application fee, TOEFL score, proof of financial support, and official transcripts from other post-secondary institutions if applicable.

- TRANSCRIPTS -- You must request an official copy of your academic credentials (transcript or record of grades) from the secondary school you attended. These records must be submitted in your native language with an official English translation and must demonstrate fulfillment of all graduation requirements, which would be equivalent of 12 years of American education. Official copies of transcripts are also required from each institution you have attended since completing secondary school.
- TOEFL -- If your native language is not English you must provide evidence of English language proficiency through the submission of at least a 500 (paper-based) or 173 (computer-based) TOEFL score. The Educational Testing Service (ETS) should send your TOEFL score directly to Edinboro University. The TOEFL institutional code for Edinboro is 2651.
- PROOF OF FINANCIAL SUPPORT -- Immigration rules and regulations require that you provide Edinboro University with documented evidence that you will have sufficient funds available to meet all tuition and living expenses. Submit an official bank statement, an Affidavit of Support, and/or a sponsor's letter indicating that sufficient funds are on deposit or can be made available for the cost of your education.
- TRANSFER STUDENTS -- Students who have been enrolled in any college or university other than Edinboro since secondary school graduation, regardless of the length of time attended, are classified as transfer students. Transcripts from all previous colleges/universities or any other post secondary institutions are required for transfer students. Official transcripts for each institution, in addition to secondary school, must be submitted to the Admissions Office. Visa Clearance Form is required if you are currently enrolled in a school in the United States. This form is included and should be completed by the foreign student advisor or designated school official from your current school.
IMPORTANT: Once documents are submitted, including transcripts, they become the property of the University and will not be returned. Upon enrollment, a report of medical history is required.
